Been born within the framework of a family without musical tradition, Jordi of small already showed restlessness for music but their parents decide to register-to drawing. Already of major when they see that it does not paint anything, they let it study music of self-taught form until initiating the studies of average degree in the Conservatory Isaac Albéniz de Girona and it finishes them in the professional Conservatory of music of Badalona with professor Enric Rigau Prats.
At the moment it makes the last course of superior degree in the ESMUC under the trusteeship and patience of professor Antonio García Araque.
It has been member of all type of formation and styles where there is a doublebass: coblas of sardanas, dance orchestras, groups of jazz, classic orchestras and at the moment in a group of habaneras… Its next challenge is to enter a tuna’s group or a group of mariaxis.
Referring to the orquestal experience it has been member of young orchestras between which it is possible to emphasize: Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya, Orquestra Athenea de Girona, Orquestra of Segle XXI… exerting the functions of main and solist in diverse occasions. In August of 2005 it is chosen by the Department of education of the Generalitat to represent Catalonia in the Inter Regional Orchestra (IRO) in Germany, being exerted the functions of principal.
It has worked under the baton of directors like: Manel Valdivieso, Robert King, Jordi Mora, G. Van Waas, Gianandrea Noseda, A. Ros Marbà, Klaus Arp, E. Left Martinez…
And it has received advice of doublebassist of reputation like: Tomas Martin, Andrew Ackermann, Thierry Barbe, Frano Kakarigi, Cristoph Rahn, Jonathan Camps…
